SPORTING.

THE AVONDALE MEETING. (Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. The Avondale spring meeting concludes to-morrow. The following are my fancies : There aro fifteon engaged in the Maiden Hurdle Handicap, which is a very open race. I have most fancy for Winsome, with The Minor second, and Inchcapo third. For tho Hack Handicap Lingard and Seatonia should take most beating. Welter Handicap : Maroon and Gold, Hikipono, and Sly Miss should finish in tho order mentioned. Nor’-wcißt and Matarawa may probably fight out tho Stooplechase. Ragabrash may succeed in winning the Grandstand Handicap; next to him I have most fancy for Highlander. Electric Handicap : Austerlitz and St Peter should fight out the finish. Pony Handicap: Girton Girl or Sentinel. Publican’s Handicap : Formula and Nonetto should prove hardest to beat. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, last night. Kelburn, Lavulette, Sans Peur and Kamo will bo shipped to Napier by the Jim Buchanan, tho well-known horseman, leaves Auckland to participate in tho Hawke's Bay meeting. He then proceeds to Christchurch to ride Lavalotte in the Now Zealand Cup.
