HOUSE PASSES ARMS AID BILL
(11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 27, The emergency bill totalling) 16,771,384,479 dollars to help rearm tha ' United States and her allies was passed by the House yesterday. It boosts to more than 30,000,000,000 dollars military outlays for this year. Four thousand million dollars will go to friendly countries abroad for building up their armed power to resist Communist aggression. The bill now goes to the Senate. President Truman is expected to seek another 10,000,000,000 dollars in the next few months. ,
