SOUTHLAND WIN AGAINST WAIRARAPA
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL. Aug. 28 The Southland Rugby representatives scored their fourth successive win of the season on Saturday when they defeated Wairarapa, 17-6. The Southland backs were the more resourceful on attack and their defence was scarcely breached. Wairarapa won most of the ball from the scrums and rucks, but were bustled into error by the speedy Southland forwards. Tries for the winners were scored by Harper, Creedy, McDonald, and Molesworth. Millar converted one try and kicked a penalty goal. For Wairarapa Patrick kicked two penalty goals.
