The English Rugby League tourists completely outclassed South Auckland at Huntly yesterday. Before an attendance of over 3000 they won by 51 points to 5, The Englishmen kicked for the line only twice throughout the whole same and frequently commenced scoring movements from right on their own line Bullet-like speed of passes and magnificent backing up were features of the visitors’ play. In spite of the large score the tackling by the South Auckland team was much better than that of the Auckland side on Saturday and time and again the Englishmen's scoring movements were halted by tackling. The fullback. Cunnicliffe. was most impressive and joined in with the backs on numerous occasions.

First points were scored for South Auckland when McKenzie kicked a penalty goal after six minutes. England then scored from a great back movement in which Pepperell made the penetration and Street scored. Gee goaled. Next Danby burst through to score. 50-Yard Run To rfcore

After 26min. Gee goaled from penalty kick. Hilton then scored a fine try with a 50-yard run and Gee converted. Another penalty for offside gave Gee another chance and he kicked another splendid goal. Pepperwell and Bradshaw broke right up the centre of the field and a perfect bullet-like pass was taken by Street who raced over between the posts. Gee converted and the half-time score was England 22, South Auckland 2. Six minutes after half-time the English forwards and backs handled smartly for the inside centre, Williams, to finish off the movement. Gee failed to goal. South Auckland looked dangerous when McKenzie and Nathan made a break, but Turner could not reach his pass. From Own Twenty-Five Danby was the next scorer for England when Bradshaw made a great opening on his own twenty-five and Danby received to run 50 yards. Gee again converted. Despite solid tackling, particularly by Doake, Stevens and McKenzie, England penetrated almost immediately, about eight men handling the ball before Danby again received in the clear and raced across. Gee converted from a difficult angle. Danby scored his third try in seven minutes from another fine back movement, but Gee missed the goal. After many attempts South Auckland scored, Rodgers finshing off a movement opened by Moyes and Doake. McKenzie failed to goal. England retaliated with a good try by Featherstone. Bradshaw went into scrum half for the next scrum. He broke round the open side and sent Pepperwell on a 30-yard run for a try. Gee again converted. The next score was from goal line to goal line. Bradshaw opened up the movement to which Gee added thrust by sheer weight. Hilton received on his own twenty-five. He ran to halfway. kicked over the head of the fullback, retrieved the ball and scored under the bar 1 . Gee converted.
