BUDGET LIKELY DURING THIRD WEEK OF AUGUST
(Special) WELLINGTON, July 26. Although a definite date for the presentation of the Budget has not yet been decided on, preparations are well in hand and some “good material’’ has been gathered. The Prime Minister, Mr. S. G. Holland, thinks that the Budget will come down about the usual time, which is the third week in August. , J He gave this information in reply to a question by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. P. Fraser, in the House of Representatives last evening. Mr. Holland said that if the Opposition wished he was willing to have the Imprest Supply debate on Friday. That advance information would enable members of the Opposition to think of some good subjects, he suggested.
