PROPOSED REPAIRS TO HALL

The Motu Hall Committee held a general meeting in the hall supper-room to discuss ways of raising further funds in order to complete the repairs and additions to the hall. It was decided to try and raise a further £2OO and a finance committee of five was elected to attend to this matter. It was also decided that the ladies' hall social committee hold a Paddy’s Market in October to raise funds.
Card Tournament Owing to the cold weather there was not a large attendance at the Fivehundred tournament in the Motu Hall last Wednesday night. This was the commencement of the third series of cards and the winners for the evening were: Ladies —Mrs.- P. Tomclty. Men — Mr. F. Donaldson, Jn. The aggregate prizes for the last series were won by Mr and Mrs. F. Donaldson. Personal Mr. and Mrs. K. Rudland, Ruatorta. are visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Peddle, Motu. Mrs. L. Richmond, who has oeen residing with Mrs. E. P Fisher, Motu, has now gone to Te Awamutu, where site is making her home with her son.
