BRITISH ISLES RUGBY FIFTEEN FOR FOURTH TEST
AUCKLAND. July 24
Only one change from the side which defeated Auckland has been made in the British Isles Rusbv team to play New Zealand in the fourth test next Saturday.
The young Irish centre. N. J. Henderson. has been dropped in place of J. Matthews, the Welshman, who broke a bone in his left hand in the match with Northland last Wednesday. Matthews had the hand inspected in Auckland. Although the injury is by no means mended, it is expected that he will be fit for the test.
The British Isles captain. K. D. Mullen. at the moment is not likely to play in the test. He is still hobbling from the twisted foot injury which he suffered shortly after half-time on Saturday and it is unlikely that he will be able to train for several days. The test team, as selected last evening, is: Full-hack.—B. L. Jones. Three-quarters.— K. Jones. J. Matthews. B. L. Williams and M. F. Lane. Half-backs.— J W. Kyle, and W. R. Willis. Back Row.—P. W. Kininmonth. Middle Row.— J. W. McKay, E. R. John, J. E. Nelson and R. T. Evans. Front Row. —C. Davies, K. D. Mullen. and G. M. Budge.
Five of the selected players, B. L. Jones, Lane, Willis, Davies and Budge, have not been capped in the series. The team differs in eight places from that which lost to New Zealand by 3 points to G in the third test three weeks ago. Those dropped from, the third test team are: W. B. Cleaver, M. C. Thomas, N. J. Henderson, G. Rimmer, T. C. Clifford. J. D. Robins, D. J. Hayward and D. M. Davie;
