Nine Picked Up In Sea From Lost Bomber

GUAM, June 23

A rescue boat reported by radio today that it was picking tin nine survivors of an American 829 Superfortress. which crashed into the sea 140 miles south east of Guam.

The plane went missing yesterday when returning from a practice bombing mission. It had a crew of 11. Search planes found nine of the men floating on rafts. A message from the rescue boat which sped to the scene said that two of (he crew were missing.
