MAORI YOUTH REMANDED

On a charge that at Gisborne on June 4 he attempted to break and enter the Gisborne Intermediate School situated in Roebuck Road with intent to commit a crime therein, Frederick Ripohau Kini, aged 18, a Maori, was remanded to appear at Gisborne on June 13 by Mr. C. F. Hansen, J.P., in the Gisborne Police Court this morning. Kini was arrested by Constable H. B. Jamieson at 3.25 p.m. on Sunday. Bail 'of £SO, with one surety of the same amount, was granted. Sergeant D. M. Campbell represented the police.
