Playing consistent golf under the worst possible conditions D L. Woon (Christchurch), the present South Island amateur golf champion. returned cards of 75, 73 and 75 in the first two days of the South Island amateur golf championships at Greymouth.

The semi-finals and finals are being played today, Woon meeting M. R. Blank (Christchurch) and L. Donigan (Greymouth) meeting A. K. Smith (Greymouth).
