(Special). , WAIROA, May 8 In a keenly-fought final of .the knock-out competition of the . Wauoa Rugby sub-union, Nuhaka seniors defeated Athletic by three points on Saturday. , Athletic were possibly a little unfortunate in not at least gaining a draw, as one of their backs appeared to gain a try which was disallowed, a forcedown being awarded. However, Nuhaka would have been unlucky to be defeated as backs and forwards combined splendidly. If they retain the form displayed on Saturday Nuhaka will be very hard to defeat in the senior championship. Results: — ... Senior.—Nuhaka 6 v. Athletic o; Tapuae 8 v. Kiwi 0. Junior. —Nuhaka 9 v.
