the GISBORNE WOOLBROKERS’ ASSOCIATION 995 THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD NOTICE TO ALL ELECTRICITY COUSUMERS IN accordance with directions received by the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board from the General Manager, State Hydro-Electric Department, Wellington, all consumers receiving a supply ot electricity from the Board are hereby notified that their usage of electricity must lie reduced by 10 per centum as from Monday, 3rd April, 1950. Consumers who have monthly Quotas allotted to them must reduce their consumption by one unit for every ten units of their monthly quota. Hospitals primary producers etc., who are at present receiving a supply of electricity not subject to a quota restriction are notified' that they must reduce thenconsumption as from the same date by 10 per centum of that shown m their last electricity accounts. . Occupiers of shops, offices, factories, warehouses and other business premises, public and private hotels and boarding houses, halls, theatres and other places of amusement, premises occupied bv any branch of the Aimed Forces and Government Departments and offices are notified that the use of electric radiators is prohibited between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on any dav of the week except Sunday during the months of April to September inclusive. THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRICPOWER BOARD EXTENSIONS LOAN OF £ 100,000 1950 NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at _ a neeting of the Poverty Bay Electnc3owcr Board held on Friday, the 31st lay of March, 1950, the following resoution, of which due notice had been liven, was passed viz,:— , “In pursuance and exercise ot_tho Dowers vested in it by Section 15 ot he Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, and by, ‘he Electric-Power Boards’ Act, 1925, ind amendments, the Poverty Bay Hlectric-Powcr Board hereby resolves jv way of Special Order as follows. '“That for the purpose of obtaining ldditional moneys for the purpose of extending, adding to, and improving he reticulation in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patulahi Town District), the Waikoliu County (including the Te Karaka Town District), and the Gisborne Borough, and for purchasing equipment, plant, tools, instruments, motor vehicles, land and construction of buildings, the Poverty Bay ElectricPower Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of one hundred thousand pounds at an interest rate of three pounds five shillings per centum per annum tor a period of twenty-five years the said loan or any part thereof io be repaid by equal half-yearly instalments of principal extending o\cr the term of the said loan." And notice is hereby given that the above resolution will be submitted lor confirmation at a meeting of the Poverty Bav Electric-Power Board to be held on 'Friday. 28th day of April 1950, at the Board's Office, Peel Street, Gisborne, at 10 a.m. And further notice is hereby given in accordance with the requirements of Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2). 193(5 (hat no moneys shall be borrowed in' accordance with the resolution set out above if, before the 28th clay of /\nril 1950, not less than five per centum of the total ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the ratepayers’ rolls of Hie constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patulahi Town District), the Waikohu County (including the Te Karaka Town District). and the Gisborne Borough, by writing under their hands delivered or ■sent by post to the office of the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board at Peel Street, Gisborne, demand that a poll be taken on the proposal.
