MASKED BANDIT MURDERS SIX
XlO a.m.) TOKYO, April 2. A masked Japanese bandit last night ; murdered six persons' by cutting their throats with a sword before escaping With yen equivalent to £BOO from a bank at Bibukamachi on Japan’s northernmost island, Hokkaido. The bandit broke into the bank’s residential quarters and forced the manager to open the safe. \ The bandit then doped the manager and his assistant and their wives and /two children and killed them with a sword. Three other terrified children hiding in a nearby room escaped.
