(Herald Correspondent.) Mrs. R. S. Leggett gave a “china" afternoon at her home. Hincmoa, Motu, in honour of Miss R. Boys, whose marriage takes place next month. Tlie sitting-room had been decorated with bowls of dahlias and sweet peas. Mrs. Leggett welcomed the guests wearing a rose pink moss crepe frock and London tan accessories. Miss Boys wore a mole gabardine costume, with a sage green blouse and brown accessories. During the afternoon competitions were won by Mesdames A. Marshall, N. Nisbett, "A. Clarke, and Miss R. Boys. Following afternoon tea. the bride-to-be, assisted by Mrs. B. Lockett, opened the many useful gifts. Personal Mrs. R. S. Fisher and Miss M. Fisher. Glenview. Motu, are visiting the former’s daughter. Mrs. H. Gaskell, Nelson. —Miss M. Nisbett spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Nisbett, Braemar, Motu. —Miss P. Fisher and Mr. J. Fisher spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Fisher, Motu.
