SOCIAL CLUB FOR BLIND
There was a good attendance at the home of Mr F. 11. Forge, Wainui Road, for the annual meeting of the Social Club for the Blind. Members were welcomed by the president, Mr. F. J. Butler, who thanked the committee for their assistance in the past year. Officers elected were; Patron, Mr. W. E. Christenson, Auckland; president, Mr. F. J. Butler; vice-presidents, Mrs. E. Elliott, Messrs, Main, E. Hampton; secretary. Mr. F. 11. Forge; committee, Mesdamcs Forge. Butler, Bacon, Godding. Russell, Wallen, Messrs. Bard'swell, Bartlett; press correspondent, Mrs. M. Wood.' Following the business an enjoyable musical programme was arranged, comprising items by Mesdames G. Moore, M. Wood. Wallen, G. Bacon, Elliott, and Mr. S. Barriswcll. Mrs. Forge served afternoon tea at a table decorated with a trough of autumn-toned Rowers.
