Queen Elizabeth Three Days In Hurricane

CIO a.m.) LONDON, March 19. The liner Queen Elizabeth berthed more than 36 hours late because of a Sale which her captain, Commodore C. Ford, described as the worst of the winter.

The liner anchored off the Isle of Wight overnight and berthed this morning with the aid of nine tugs—two more than usual. Commodore Ford said: “For the last three days a hurricane raged at more than 75 miles hourly. The ship rolled heavily but there seemed to be a regular attending at meals.”
