Tubercular Cows,
A fresh approach to the long-stand-ing problem of paying compensation for cows condemned under the tuberculosis testing scheme is to be made to the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. K. J. Holyoake. A deputation from the Federation of Town Milk Producers is shortly to meet the Minister. At present the town milk supply in Masterton is drawn from herds which used to be tuberculosis-tested. About two years ago the scheme broke down. Methods of compensation, such as direct payments or increased payments for milk" guaranteed free from tuberculosis, are to be put to the Minister. .
