SLEEPER CHARGED AFTER ESCAPE ON FRENCH HIGHWAY
(10 a.m.) PARIS, Jail. 16. A motorist on the road to Besancon ran over a man sound asleep in the middle of the road. The man woke up unhurt, but was so firmly wedged below the front axle of the car that it. was necessary to lift the car with a jack to release him. A policeman handed him a summons for being drunk and sleeping on a public highway.
