GISBORNE SECOND TO WAIHI IN SURF LIFE-SAVING CHAMPS.
(P.A.) WHAKATANE, Jan. 16. Competing consistently well, Waihi won the Bav of Plenty Cup surf lifesaving championships at Ohope Beach on Sunday. Gisborne finished second with Whakatane third. The teams competed before a large crowd in ideal conditions from Gisborne, Waihi, Mount 'Maunganui, Whakatane. Results:— .
