I! A DIO SURPRISE.—The voice of a woman telephone exchange operator at Kumeu unexpectedly gained a brief radio audience of thousands shortly after 7.30 o’clock last night. It happened when a car hit a telegraph post about a mile from Henderson, brought down the landline link between three of. Auckland's four radio stations and the main transmitter at Henderson, and crossed the telephone and radio lines at the scc-ne of lire accident. Programmes from station IYA, IZB, and IYD were interrupted.
