NEW AIR CHIEF AT MALTA
(10 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 21. •Air Vice-Marshal D’Aeth. director of navigation and control at the Air Ministry, has been appointed air officer commanding air headquarters at Malta. He captained the Lancaster Airies on record-breaking flights to India, Australia, and New Zealand in 1946 and on the non-stop record flight from Cairo to Cape Town.
