BUS STOP DANGER.

Sir. —I would like to congratulate the present Borough Council under the leadership of our worthy and energetic Mayor in having, so far. performed their civic duties in a very commendable manner. And although it would he unreasonable to expect perfection from such a group, there are instances where they show a tardiness in being able to direct their efforts. Bus stoppages are a cr.se in point. Almost without exception these buses ston with their noses or tails encroaching on a cross road or. at any rate, within a few yards o! it. The inconvenience to traffic is apparent, as any motorist will verily. In some localities it can be a distinct danger, for the vision of coming traffic is completely'cut out by the towering vehicles. Why they should slop so near a crossroad where traffic is likely to be most dense is beyond comprehension. Whv not stop a reasonable distance one way or the other. I am quite sure that there would be no objection on the part ot the public. The counci has encouraged the anomaly bv erecting bus shelters close to intersections and if it does not do something about it. Hie accident is bound to happen for which the council and the council alone will be responsible. MOTORIST.
