SCOTT'S ANKLE INJURED: MAY REST FOR WEEK
(9 a.m.) JOHANNESBURG, Aug. 14. It was not till after Saturday’s test match that it was found that Scott had received an ankle injury wbioh may necessitate him resting for a week or more.
This is the first occasion in his football career that he has been injured. Scott, along with other All Blacks, visited a friend’s place on Saturday night after the official dinner to the teams and there noticed a considerable swelling on his right ankle. A doctor was presented and bound the ankle which had been bruised by a kick. Scott stated later that he remembered receiving this when making a desperate effort to prevent Brewis from scoring in the first spell. While running and concentrating on the game he did not feel any effects but the ankle became discoloured later.
The injury is not serious but will necessitate a short spell.
