BETTER THAN EXPECTED AMBULANCE APPEAL
The annual street appeal conducted by the Gisborne centre of the St. John Ambulance Association netted £225 on Friday—£Bo more than last year’s efforts. “This satisfactory result is very much better than that anticipated and, although not a record in the history of our street appeals, it is close to constituting one.” commented the secretary, Mr. M. J. White, yesterday.
