CONCORD BETWEEN ANGLICANS AND OLD CATHOLICS

fP.A.) WELLINGTON, May 29. The General Synod of the Church of England in New Zealand resolved yesterday to ratify the concordat between \ representations of the Anglican communion and the Old Catholic Church. The Old Catholic Church is a comparatively small group of dioceses which separated from, tne Roman Catholic Church about $370. In explaining the situation to the synod yesterday the Rev. D. S. Miller, Auckland, said that there was to be no organic amalagmation. but members of each communion would be able to receive and hold communion at the altars of the other. “Members of the Old Catholic Church are mostly on the Continent and it is possible that displaced persons who are coming to New Zealand included Old Catholics. The report of the Lambeth Conference of last year recorded that the concordat had been ratified by leading Anglican churches of the world as well as by the Old Catholic Church.
