Night Meetings To Be Tried By Federated Farmers
THE penalties for over-pressing wool bales, the need for better facilities at the Matawhero saleyards or limit on numbers accepted at the weaner fairs in future, and the possibility ,of having some change made to the Electrical Wiremen’s Act to enable farmers to salvage electric motors from fioodwaters will all be included in the agenda for the next meeting of the Gisborne branch of Federated Farmers. Because of the small attendance at the annual meeting of the branch yesterday, and the importance of the questions raised, it was decided to await a more representative gathering. As several apologies had been received arising out of the seasonal work and fine days following the long period of rain it was agreed that the next meeting should be a night one in Gisborne-
