P. 0.5.8. STAFF BUSY
This month is proving a busy one for members of the Chief Post Office, Gisborne, particularly those engaged in the Post Office Savings Bank section.
With the end of the financial year approaching, various returns must be made up, but the main work towards the end of the month will be the calculation of interest on all P. 0.5.8. accounts. It is expected that the interest will be available to depositors on April 1 or at any time after that date. The transferring of ex-servicemen’s gratuity accounts to P. 0.5.- accounts also will throw extra work on the staff towards the end of the month.
