SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH SECURITY TIGHTENED
(11 a.m.) CANBERRA, Mar. 9. Any employee disclosing information about the work of the reconstituted Commonwealth scientific and industrial research organisation will be liable to two years’ gaol. All members must swear the oath of allegiance to the King. These provisions are included in the bill on the reconstitution of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. In a second reading speech in the House of Representatives the Minister of Post-War Reconstruction, Mr. J. J. Dcdman. said that no person who was not a British subject could be appointed to the new organisation except with special approval.
