ANTI-RED TRADE UNIONS MAY LEAD NEW WORLD BODY
(10 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 8. Delegates claiming to represent the majority of trade unionists outside the Soviet sphere began a conference at Bournemouth today, which is expected to lead to a new international trade union organisation. The Miners Federation —one of the most powerful trade union secretariats —did not attend the conference. It held that action by national trade union centres should precede action by trade secretariats.
Fifteen other international trade secretariats were represented.
