BULGAR CLERICS’ TRIALS PART OF PROPAGANDA DRIVE
(11 a.m.) LONDON; Mar. 7. The Minister of State, Mr. Hector McNeil, told the House of Commons that the falsity of part of the confessions at the trial of 15 Bulgarian Protestant pastors must lead everyone to doubt the rest. He added that the British Government was satisfied there was not the slightest foundation for any of the
allegations made against past or present members of the British Legation staff at Sofia. , Strong grounds existed for believing that these trials not only in Bulgaria but in comparable countries were part of a propaganda campaign rather than a judicial process
