HOW RUSSIA WOULD TREAT COLONIES
(10 a.m.) MOSCOW, Mar. 7. The entire imperialist colonial system was threatened by the armed struggle raging in several Asiatic countries for national liberation, said the Moscow newspaper Izvestia. The Russian policy for developing such countries was to guarantee their national independence. They must have protective tariffs to put their own industries on a more favourable basis with foreign imports, but the United States and European countries opposed that.
