FIRST SOVIET REACTION TO PROTEST
(10 a.m.) BERLIN. Mar. 7. The Russians cancelled firing exercises in the Allied air corridor when British, American and French representatives at the Berlin air safety centre lodged a routine verbal protest. This was the first time a cancellation has followed such a protest by the Western Powers.
