FOUR BULLOCKS "GO TO TOWN" IN CANTEEN
(ll a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 7. Four bullocks wrecked a works canteen near a cattle market at Hull.
After climbing a 20ft. stairway, the animals smashed the furniture, pounded the crockery to pieces, and scattered the groceries. One bullock, enraged by what it thought was the intrusion of a fifth bullock, shattered a wall mirror in which he had seen his own reflection. A metal worker who was in a room off the canteen heard a knock on the door, opened it, but slammed it shut when he saw his “guests.” The bullocks were finally rounded up by a drover, who herded them backwards down the stairs. No one was hurt.
