REORGANISATION OF RUHR COAL MINES
(9.35 a.m.) LONDON. March 6. The newly-formed trizonal coal control group announced that Western Germany’s coal mines would be regrouped into 15 undertakings, says Reuter’s correspondent in Essen. Mines in which 51 per cent of .the capital is in foreign hands will be excepted. British, French and American experts have prepared a plan for this reorgan-: isation of the Ruhr mines. This was foreshadowed last November when the Anglo-American authorities announced that Western German coal, iron and steel industries would return to German trusteeship. Details of the plan will be worked out in discussions by the coal control group, the German Coal Board, miners' unions and other interested parties. The plan will then go to the western military governors for approval.
