CHALLENGE OF JURY SYSTEM FAILS
(11.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, Mar. 4. Judge H. Medina today rejected a defence challenge of the jury system in the conspiracy trial of 11 American Communist leaders. The defence had asked that all prospective jurors be dismissed on the ground that their selection was biased in favour of the wealthy. The defence challenge had occupied seven weeks. The task of selecting a jury will get under way next Monday.
