MORAL REARMAMENT NEEDS IN N.Z.
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. There was a link between the activities of the Australian and New Zealand Assembly for moral rearmament held in Melbourne in January and interest in sport, said Major A. D. Scilliers, Cape Town, who is visiting New Zealand in connection with the international work of moral rearmament.
Major Cilliers explianed in an interview that this link was the manner in which the moral rearmament play, “The Forgotten Factor” exemplified everything that was best in teamwork and its application to relationships in industry or any other phase of national life.
"It is recognised that materialist forces are today at work to sow the seeds of discord wherever they can so as to exploit the result to their advantage,” said Major Cilliers. “For this reason I would like to see this play, which presents the answer to such situations, produced in New Zealand as it has already been in all countries.
"In Australia the play was seen by leaders from all sections of the community who were emphatic that it fulfilled a real need and should be shown throughout the Pacific.”
