VETERAN BOWLERS’ TOURNAMENT ON P.B. CLUB GREENS
Eighty players were present at a tournament held on the P.B. Bowling Club’s greens recently by the Veterans’ Bowling Association, the occasion being the birthday of three veteran bowlers.
The three guests of honour, Messrs. D. S. Thompson, W. T. Veitch and H. Taylor presented a birthday cake. A presentation of a tie in the P.B. Bowling Club colours was made to Messrs. Thompson, Veitch and Taylor by the vice-president of the association, Mr. Luttrel. Mr. Veitch replied. Matches resulted:—Dyer, Green, Kay, Taylor (s) 20 v.
