NEW CAKE MAKE-UP INTRODUCED BY LOURNAY REPRESENTATIVE

The new cake make-up, which is the -rage in America, is now proving to be the most successful yet introduced into the cosmetic world, said Miss Ayline Gallagher, Lournay cosmetic representative, who is introducing ‘‘Film Finish” cake make-up to New Zealand. This new make-up, which is put up in attractive cream bakelite flat containers, is obtainable in four shades, is easy to apply and no wet sponge is needed. It is suitable for all types of skins, is neither oily nor dry and can be used effectively by women of all cIgGS. “Film Finish” covers blemishes and freckles, stays on the day long, is water proof and prevents sunburn, and is the perfect make-up for those who indulge in swimming or surfing. Suitable for day or evening wear, “Film Finish gives the appearance that its name implies, a soft mat-like finish to the skin. It is easily removed by washing. Using the pads of the fingers in a flat circular motion, "Film Finish” is applied in a thin covering to the face and neck and blended smoothly and evenly with the finder tips, followed by a light dusting with Lournay complexion powder to match. Rouge is applied lightly before the application of face powder. This type of make-up does not give the wearer a masked appearance but imparts a natural softness to the skin.
