Majestic.—Today’s double-feature _ programme is headed by "The Lone Wolf in London,” starring Gerald Mohr, Eric Blane and Nancy Saunders. The associate feature, "Angels’ Alley,” is a new action story of youth against the racketeers, starring Les Gorcey and the “Dead End Kids." There will be a special children's programme on Friday afternoon at 1.45 for the Young New Zealanders' Club.
King’s—" Forever Amber” is being screened to Gisborne audiences. The film version which keeps clear of phases which caused banning of the novel, is well presented and enhanced y Technicolour. Amber runs the gamut of serving maid to mistress of n king, and her colourful adventures are faithfully portrayed.
Regent.—The Paramount production. "So Evil My Love,” starring Ray Millnnd, Ann Todd and Geraldine Fitzgerald, is being screened The film is based on a novel by Joseph Shearing, dealing with the transformation of a fine women into a thief, a blackinaillcr and. finally a murderess—all for the sake of the man she loves. The origin of the story is a murder case heard in England in the 1860's.
