N.Z. MOTOR TRADER IMPRESSED BY CAR BUILT IN AUSTRALIA

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 21. An impression of great industrial development in Australia was brought back by the managing-director of General Motors (New Zealand), Limited, Mr. G. C. Seers, who returned to Wellington in the Wanganella yesterday. Mr. Seers referred also to the large amount of goods of all kinds on sale in Australian shops. He visited Australia specially in connection with the new Australianproduced car, the Holden, which was being displayed at special exhibitions. He said he was impressed with the suitability of the car for New Zealand and Australian conditions. Eventually it would be exported, but at present production was not enough to meet the demand in Australia;

He was hopeful that sample models would be imported within the next few months, though whether larger imports would be possible later would naturally depend on the licensing position.
