No Demand For Return Of Greek Children
PRAGUE, Dec. 17.
Professor Kokalis, Minister of Welfare in the guerrilla leader. General Markos’ “Government,” stated that 4000 Greek children had been evacuated from Greece to Albania, 2800'to Czechoslovakia, 1000 to Poland, 8000 to Hungary, 3000 to Bulgaria and 3000 to Rumania.
Professor Kokalis said his Govcrnaccepted the recent United Nations’ decision that the children must be returned to Greece if their parents or close relations wished it, but declared that so far no parent had asked for the return of a child.
