RUSSIA TO RETURN BRITISH WARSHIPS
LONDON. Dec. 17
The British battleship Royal Sovereign, which has been the flagship of the Russian Fleet since it was leased to Russia in 1944, will probably be returned to Britain at the end of next month, says the Daily Telegraph’s naval correspondent. Seven destroyers and three submarines will also be returned.
Russia agreed to return the vessels when she receives the surrendered warships from Italy.
