DOCTORS OPPOSE STATE CONTROL OF HEALTH SERVICE
SYDNEY, Dec. 18,
Doctors in Australia will not cooperate in any national health scheme which is controlled departmentally. This was made clear in a statement issued by the general secretary of the Federal Council of the British Medical Association in Australia, Dr. J. G. Hunter.
He said the medical profession would not make available to any third party, lay or medical, the clinical records of patients to enable them to obtain benefits under the National Health Services Act.
