22 LIVING IN HOUSE
ADELAIDE. Nov. 21
Eighteen people—six adults and 12 children—share a house in Howetown, Port Pirie. Four older sons and daughters come home at week-ends to make the total 22.
Seven of the children sleep in a shed with a dirt floor. Reporting this to Port Pirie board of health, the health officer. Dr. G. Viner Smith, said the only bath leaked and was useless. The one sink was shared by the three families.
