TRADES COUNCIL SEEKS CHECK TO BIDDING FOR PROPERTIES

AUCKLAND, Dec. 17.
Profit-making by speculators who outbid ex-servicemen for building sections at auctions should be ended, the Auckland Trades Council decided last night. It will propose to the Minister of Lands that where sections are sold ; by this method the Government should take them over and offer them to workers requiring homes.
