THIRD OPIUM OFFENCE INCURS £IOO FINE

AUCKLAND, Dec .17.
For allowing premises to be used for opium smoking Wong My, aged 41 years, market gardener, was today fined £IOO by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., who ordered that immediate payment be made, or in default the sentence would be three months’ gaol. The Magistrate gave a warning that another appearance would mean lengthy imprisonment.
The police said that on each of two previous occasions Wong My was fined £SO.
