RUSSIANS PROTEST AT BAN ON FOOD PARCELS
(10.30 a.m.) BERLIN, Dec. 15.
Russia has protested against the ban on the shipments of gift parcels to Eastern Germany through the British and United States zones, says the Russian-licensed A.D.N. News Agency. In a letter to the United States Military Government, the Russians described the ban as illegal and arbitrary. Western allegations that Russia had not returned goods railway wagons used to transport gift parcels were denied, said the agency. The Russians declared that they would take all necessary measures to maintain the postal communications of the Russian zone with other countries.
