Matai Not Needed Now For Lighthouse Work
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dee. 17. The Minister of Marine, Mr. F. Hackett, announced that the Government steamer Matai had ceased to be essential for servicing lighthouses and negotiations were in progress for her future disposition.
