PROMOTED PUPILS FAREWELLED AT KAITI PRIMARY

The community spirit in the Kaiti School was exemplified yesterday afternoon when pupils due to proceed to Intermediate School next year were farewelled by those of other standards. The occasion was celebrated at short notice, and took the form of a novelty sports programme at which the guests were the competitors, and a bumper afternoon tea provided by parents of the scholars. A “plum scramble” which wound up the proceedings found the competitive instinct very highly developed. Placings in the novelty sports events were:—Book-on-Head Race.
