MR. IVAN TYERMAN, of Gisborne, has been successful in passing his final qualifying examination in pharmacy.
MR. W. K. WARD was welcomed as a new member at last night’s monthly meeting of the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce.
MR. G. A. NICHOLLS, at last night's meeting of the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce, was appointed as the chamber's representative on the Gis-borne-East Coast Regional Council. Mr. 11. C. Hanes was appointed the deputy representative.
MR. J. B, WILLIAMS has been reappointed nominee of the Cook Hospital Board, and Mr. 11. 11. Barker deputy nominee, to the Gisborne-East Coast Regional Planning Council. The appointments were made at a meeting of the board yesterday. MR. J. B. WILLIAMS, chairman, presided at a meeting of the Cook Hospital Board yesterday. There were also present Mrs. E. R. Scott, and Messrs. G. W. Armstrong, H. H. Barker, P. F. Barker, H. Cooper, H. H. Dods. J. H. Hall, W. C. Kohn and A. M. Trafi'ord. Leave of absence was granted Mr. H. J. F. Tombleson.
MR. P. L. PAGE was appointed assistant secretary to the Hawke's Bay Education Board when this body held its last meeting of Ihe year on Tuesday. Mr. 11. Johnson was appointed accountant.
